We’re excited to invite you to Jurassic Sparks, a one-of-a-kind Valentine’s date night at the Yale Peabody Museum. Step back in time and flirt with the past as you explore the museum after hours, where science, history, and romance collide.

Your ticket includes a delicious cheese and chocolate bar, two drink tickets per person, live music, books for purchase from local bookseller RJ Julia and a special themed tour, by Peabody curator Jessica Thompson “The Neanderthal’s Kiss.”

If you’re reading this, you could be one of the 80% of all people who carries a bit of Neanderthal DNA. And how it got there, most likely, started with a kiss. if you never thought science could draw back the curtain on early human intimacy, think again! Kissing goes way back in evolutionary time, to our ape ancestors. And DNA preserved in the mouths of ancient humans shows that they shared a lot of the same microbes. On Valentine’s Day, learn more about what we know and don’t know about these ancient human relationships.

This event is for guests aged 21 and older.
