Service Animals

  • The Peabody Museum welcomes service animals in adherence with ADA requirements.
  • Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

Families

  • Guests are welcome to nurse their children in the galleries. However, a private wellness room is available on the lower level for guests who would like to leave the galleries to nurse or feed their child/children. This room is single-use only and includes a cushioned chair with arms, a small table, a locking door, and an electrical outlet.
  • All-gender restrooms are located on the first and third floors.

Multimedia

The Peabody offers 15 touchscreen kiosks for visitors on all three gallery floors.

Two additional special interactives are located on the second floor in the Egypt & Mesopotamia gallery. One features a projection onto the Assyrian Reliefs display while the other offers a holographic projection of two dig sites where visitors can sit and navigate through the experience via a keypad.

All kiosks offer an accessibility keypad to navigate and a headphone jack that allows for an audio description.
