Earth Day 2026

Celebrate Earth Day at the Yale Peabody Museum!

On April 18 from 10 am to 3 pm, we’ll offer family-friendly activities, including environmental themed crafts, storybook readings, a scavenger hunt, a used book giveaway from New Haven Reads, and free “seed snails,” a sustainable home gardening method.

Art will once again fill the museum’s Central Gallery. In collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club of Connecticut, we will be featuring recycled art sculptures designed by students from across the state. Using items like plastic bottles, cardboard, and aluminum cans, participants explore sustainability, creativity, and environmental awareness.

Join us for a day of learning, reflection, and fun as the Peabody examines the world and our place in it.
