Connecticut’s more than 2,400 species of moths perform important ecological roles as pollinators and much more. Join local naturalist John Himmelman, author and illustrator of over 80 books for children and adults, for this presentation featuring moths, their lifecycle, when and where to see them, and how to attract them to your backyard. A curated collection of moths from the Peabody’s entomology collection will also be on display. Afterward John will lead the group outside to seek out moths at Yale’s West Campus.

John will have copies of the new edition of his book Discovering Moths: Nighttime Jewels in Your Own Backyard available for signing after the event.

Registration: $25
