They can help us understand how new groups of organisms arise. Join Yale graduate student Nicolás Mongiardino Koch to trace the evolutionary history of these unique creatures with a look at their genomes, morphology, and fossils.

Nicolás Mongiardino Koch is an evolutionary biologist who studies the diversification of living organisms, with a focus on the evolution of sea urchins. After his graduate work at Yale, Nicolás will join the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in San Diego, California, as a postdoctoral researcher.
