As of June 1, 2021, the Journal of Marine Research will not accept renewals and new subscriptions for the 2022 subscription year. The Journal of Marine Research will cease publication as of December 31, 2021.

 

All current subscriptions paid through 2021 will be honored in full and subscriber services will continue to be fully accessible on IngentaConnect (www.ingentaconnect.com) through the end of 2021. We regret that we cannot provide refunds for current subscriptions.

 

New content for Volumes 78 and 79 will continue to be published online during 2021 and content already published will remain available on IngentaConnect.

Subscription Rates

Beginning with Volume 78, the Journal of Marine Research will publish four online issues per year, with occasional supplements. Volumes 78 and 79 will be published in 2021.

 

Subscription rate for 2022:

Subscriptions are not being accepted for 2022.

Institutional US$300.00

Individual US$200.00

  • Subscriptions are for online access for the calendar year only.
  • Subscriptions are per location for institutions with multiple sites.
  • All orders must be prepaid in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank.
  • Institutional purchase orders accepted.
  • Checks and international money orders payable to Yale University-JMR accepted.
  • Credit cards accepted (MasterCard and VISA only).
  • For wire transfers contact the Editorial Office in advance for instructions. Subscriptions must be paid in full exclusive of any wire transfer fees, which must be paid with the transfer or billed separately.
  • No discounts are offered.

Subscribers have online access to the 6 most recent issues and supplements. Earlier issues (beginning with 1983, Volume 41, through to subscribed content) are available through Ingenta Connect at https://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/jmr/jmr as free downloadable content. Free content is added monthlly. Beginning in 2016 the print version was discontinued and the Journal of Marine Research became available to subscribers as an online-only subscription.

 

The Sea

Included in your subscription is access to new contributions to the long-standing and well-respected oceanographic series The Sea. 

 

The Sea: The Science of Ocean Prediction (Volume 17) is available online as special issues of the Journal of Marine Research Volume 75.

 

The Sea: The Current and Future Ocean; Advancing Science from Plankton to Whales — Celebrating the Contributions of James J. McCarthy (Volume 18), supplement to Journal of Marine Research Volume 77, now available online.

 

These articles by top researchers on cutting-edge research in the fields of biological, chemical, and physical oceanography published in the Journal of Marine Research are also available as print-on-demand supplements.

Free downloadable PDF files of back issues for Journal of Marine Research Volumes 1 to 40 are available on our Archive Issues page at https://peabody.yale.edu/scientific-publications/journal-marine-research/back-issues.

 

Due to the COVID-19 situation and the Yale campus-wide response, print copies of Journal of Marine Research back issues are currently not available for purchase.

 

Note that print publication of the Journal of Marine Research was discontinued after the 2015 November–December issue (Volume 73, Issue 6).
