Charitable Donation Policy

Charitable Donation Requests

The Peabody Museum is pleased to give back to the community by considering donation requests for fundraising events from qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in Connecticut.  It is our policy to donate one Family Free Pass (4 admission tickets) per year per eligible organization.

While each request receives careful consideration, we regret that we are unable to accommodate all requests. The following groups are not eligible:

  • Individuals or individual families
  • For-profit organizations
  • Political campaigns/fund-raisers
  • Organizations outside of Connecticut

All requests must be in writing. Phone solicitations will not be accepted.

Guideline for submission:

  1. Include the organization’s request for donation on letterhead, the letter must be received at least 60 days before the event.
  2. Include the Tax ID number or send a copy of the IRS determination letter.
  3. Include the name and address of where we should send the donated Family Free Pass.
