Indigenous Peoples Day

Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 11 am to 3 pm

Join us for our celebration of indigenous peoples!  Performances, special displays and activities for the whole family!  Demonstration of the manufacture and use of prehistoric tools by Jeff Kalin from Primitive Technologies.  Drumming and dance performance by Blue Feather Singers and Dancers from the Association of Native Americans at Yale at Noon and 1:00 pm. 


We’ll explore hunting, gathering and traditional agriculture of indigenous cultures around the world, including a closer look at the Ache people of Paraguay featured in our exhibition Big Food: Health, Culture and the Evolution of Eating.
