Overview

“Yoga at the Peabody” classes are designed with the general population in mind.

The Peabody has invited expert instructors from Yale Campus Recreation to provide a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. All experience levels welcome. Participants must be 16 years or older.

Classes are held in our Mineral Galleries or Burke Hall of Dinosaurs.

In the Mineral Galleries at the Peabody you can learn more about the Solar System, how minerals are formed, gems and jewelry, and the history of mineralogy at Yale. David Friend Hall, the largest gallery, features artistic presentations of remarkable minerals from around the world.

In Burke Hall two large dinosaurs, Brontosaurus and Stegosaurus, occupy the middle of the room. Around the perimeter of the room, you can explore fossil deposits of different ages and locations – including fossils found locally

Classes must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Please bring your own mat, towel and water bottle. Participants will be asked to sign a waiver before participating in the class. The waiver will be provided for you upon arrival.
