Living Earth Community

Living Earth Community

“Living Earth Community” will be held by the Yale Forum on Religion and Ecology on Saturday, October 17 in conjunction with the Yale Peabody Museum. This conference brings together an interdisciplinary community of scientists, humanists, writers, and philosophers to explore the vast and diverse intelligences of nature, following the launch of the Forum’s new knowledge commons website: Living Earth Community. Drawing from novel scientific research, Indigenous and religious worldviews, and skilled nature writing, we will explore different ways of knowing and relating with the complex lives of cells, plants, and fungi; trees and forests, mammals and birds—and the broader implications of these understandings for human-Earth relations.
