Rates & Policies

Please note that the Museum is now closed for renovation. Education programs are currently presented entirely online. Our fees and payment policies have changed, effective September 1, 2020. All program fees directly support the Yale Peabody Museum and its education initiatives.

Reservations are required for all education programs at least 2 weeks in advance. We will be in touch to test connectivity and technology at least a week before your program date. Use our online form or make a reservation by contacting us.

We understand that school systems are operating in widely different ways because of the effects of COVID-19 requirements. We will work with you to accommodate your particular circumstances.

Program Fees

Programs for K–12 School & Youth Groups

  • Each online program, maximum class size 25 students: $150.00
  • Additional programs on the same day: $100.00 each program
  • Each online 30-minute program, maximum class size 25 students: $100.00

Programs for Adult Groups

  • Each online program, maximum group size 25: $150.00

  • Each online program, maximum group size 25: Group rates apply

  • Each online program, maximum group size 25: Group rates apply


Payment Policies

Note that our education program fees and payment policies have changed, effective September 1, 2020. All program fees directly support the Yale Peabody Museum and its education initiatives.

Payment must be received before the day of your program. An administrative fee of $25.00 will be added to your invoice for late payment. Coupons, Museum memberships, Yale IDs, and library passes will not be honored.

The following are accepted forms of payment.

  • Credit card (VISA, MasterCard or Discover only).
  • Check made out to Yale University.
  • Purchase order.

To pay by credit card, please mail or call in your payment. Do not send credit card information by email.

You may cancel a reservation up to 5 business days before the program date and receive a full refund. We will not refund a program fee if you cancel the registration fewer than 5 business days before a program.

If technical difficulties prevent us from providing your session, we will reschedule your program, if possible, or refund your payment.

There are no refunds for groups and classes that fail to attend a reserved program.
