Student Assistants

The curatorial divisions of the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History have available opportunities for undergraduates to work in the collections as student assistants on a variety of divisional projects and on individual research that may earn academic credit. These opportunities can provide important experience in research methodology and best practices in the care and curation of natural history collections. Among other skills, students may learn to prepare specimens, participate in fieldwork, digitize historical archives, identify and catalog new materials, or work with YPM’s collections management database.
