Register early to reserve a space.

Class size is limited.  Registration closes ten business days prior to the course starting date. Registrations are processed upon receipt.  Confirmation of enrollment will be sent to the student upon receipt of payment.  The instructor will send course and contact information and the materials list to each enrolled student.

Enrollment eligibility:

Courses are designed for adults. CTNSI cannot accommodate persons under eighteen years of age.


Location of classes and course information:

Most classes are held in the Yale Peabody Museum and the Class of 1954 Environmental Science Center, located on Sachem Street adjacent to the museum.  The buildings are handicapped accessible.


Course prerequisites:

Courses numbered 200 and above require a prerequisite or permission from the instructor. 


Course cancellation:

If a course is cancelled, students will be refunded 100% of the course fee.



Yale Peabody Museum members will receive a 10% discount on course tuition fees. 


Fee refund policy:

No refunds will be issued for cancellation fewer than 30 days before the course begins.  A $50 non-refundable deposit is required unless course is cancelled, for which a full refund will be issued.


Curriculum changes: 

The Yale Peabody Museum reserves the right to change the calendar, withdraw, or modify a course, and substitute instructors.  The Yale Peabody Museum will make every effort to notify students of such changes.


Class cancellations:

Inclement weather:  the instructor will make every effort to contact students by email and/or phone in a timely manner.  However, it will be the student’s responsibility to check to see if a class will run.  Contact information will be included in the information sent to the enrolled student by the instructor.


Reproduction rights:

Students will be asked on the registration form if they give permission for the Yale Peabody Museum to use photos of themselves or their work as they pertain to each course for educational or publicity purposes.  If this permission is not granted by the student, the Yale Peabody Museum will not use such images for those purposes.
