Part 4: Challenges

Friday, September 28 from Noon to 1:30 pm


The Yale Rudd Center for Food Policy & Obesity, CARE, and the Yale Peabody Museum will be co-hosting weekly lunchtime screenings and discussions of the critically acclaimed HBO Documentary The Weight of the Nation, an exclusive four-part series addressing the national obesity epidemic.


This fourth and final film of The Weight of the Nation series, "Challenges", examines the origins and severity of the obesity epidemic, as well as its major driving forces, and looks at opportunities for communities to fight back. Following the 1-hour film, there will be a brief facilitated discussion with an obesity expert.


Screenings will be held each Friday in September from Noon to 1:30 pm in the Peabody Museum auditorium beginning with Part 1: Consequences on September 7; followed by Part 2: Choices on September 14; Part 3: Children in Crisis on September 21; and Part 4: Challenges on September 28.



Big Food: Health, Culture and the Evolution of Eating is a collaboration between the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History, CARE: Community Alliance for Research and Engagement at the Yale School of Public Health, and the Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity.
