The Yale Rudd Center for Food Policy & Obesity, CARE, and the Yale Peabody Museum will be co-hosting weekly lunchtime screenings and discussions of the critically acclaimed HBO Documentary The Weight of the Nation, an exclusive four-part series addressing the national obesity epidemic.
For all the remarkable high-tech tools available to medicine, for all the billions of dollars in drug research, there’s still no highly effective medication to prevent or reverse obesity. This second film, "Choices", examines why. Following the 1-hour film, there will be a brief facilitated discussion with an obesity expert.
Screenings will be held each Friday in September from Noon to 1:30 pm in the Peabody Museum auditorium beginning with Part 1: Consequences on September 7; followed by Part 2: Choices on September 14; Part 3: Children in Crisis on September 21; and Part 4: Challenges on September 28.
