The Green River Formation is well known for its fossil fish, but what else do we know about the ecology of this lake system from 52 million years ago? Specimens recently donated to the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History highlight the diverse insect fauna that flourished in nearshore environments and around the shoreline of this ancient lake system. Come and discover some of the fascinating insect and arachnid fossils in our Invertebrate Paleontology collection as we envision the Early Eocene of Wyoming.
