Bug Music

A Celebration of the Return of the Seventeen-Year Cicadas

This two-part program begins with a lecture on “Marvelous Magicicada: The World of Our Most Enigmatic Insect” by University of Connecticut scientist and periodical cicada expert John Cooley. Then at 5:15 pm, David Rothenberg from the New Jersey Institute of Technology will present the “Bug Music” concert in the Museum’s Great Hall. Rothenberg is known for his innovative use of animal song and sound in his music.
