Fossil preparators have already begun working on specimens that will be displayed in the renovated Peabody Museum. In this gallery talk, Christina Lutz will provide a glimpse of the work of fossil preparators and the various techniques they employ, and will explain why casts are sometimes utilized in displays in place of real specimens. The presentation will include a sneak peek at specimens slated for display in the updated paleontology exhibits.
