The Yale Peabody Museum has thousands of extraordinary historical objects representing almost 500 years of the history of science and technology, including instruments used for science and exploration in early America. Come see Yale’s oldest surviving microscope from 1734, the “Rolls-Royce” of astronomical telescopes used by luminaries like Benjamin Franklin, and the type of octant that helped Lewis & Clark cross the American frontier!
