Join us as we celebrate the opening of our newest temporary exhibition Dinosaurs Take Flight: The Art of Archaeopteryx. Discovered in 1861, Archaeopteryx is a critical link in the evolutionary story connecting dinosaurs and living birds. This interactive exhibition features more than 50 pieces of original art, murals, sculptures, cast specimens of most of the known Archaeopteryx fossils, and a collection of real fossils representing the plants and animals that lived with Archaeopteryx. We’ll have a craft activity, scavenger hunt, a touch table, and games.

Support for this exhibition was provided by the O.C. Marsh Fellows Program at the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History
