Marion Stoddart lived next to one of America’s most polluted rivers—and transformed herself from a housewife to an environmental leader and citizen hero honored by the United Nations. The Work of 1000 is the 30-minute documentary chronicling her life, achievements, setbacks and unwavering resolve to save a dying river.
Audubon Connecticut, with major support provided by the Quinnipiac River Fund and in partnership with the Yale Peabody Museum, presents The Work of 1000 as the last in a series of four engaging environmental films focused on the health of waterways, harmful effects of toxins in the environment and environmental stewardship.
