The Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History is pleased to offer educational programs throughout the year for Connecticut primary and secondary school classes at the Yale Peabody Museum Community Education Center at West Campus. Located at 117 Frontage Road in Orange, Connecticut, this West Campus facility offers science and natural history programs that complement those available at the Yale Peabody Museum in New Haven. The list of available programs changes each season.
The Yale Peabody Museum Community Education Center also hosts public programs as well as nature illustration classes for adults. The illustration classes are offered in cooperation with the Connecticut Natural Science Illustrators. For more information and to access a list of their programs, visit www.ctnsi.com.
The Yale Peabody Museum Community Education Center features almost 3000 square feet of classroom, presentation and laboratory space. In addition, many programs make use of the Oyster River Outdoor Classroom, a forested wetland corridor on West Campus that provides opportunities for habitat studies, scientific investigations, and seasonal nature walks.
