Description: While
most objects in our Solar System are in regular and predictable motion,
not all are. The Earth, Moon and the planets all behave in predictable
ways. This program emphasizes solar system objects, meteorites and
comets that are not always predictable and may collide with the earth.
Students will examine rocks from Mars and the Moon, and touch
meteorites, including a 1,635-pound meteorite from Red River, Texas.
