The Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History is looking forward to hosting the 27th Annual Meeting for the Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC) from Monday, June 11 to Saturday, June 16, 2012.

The theme of SPNHC 2012 is Emerging Technology and Innovation in Natural History Collections Management and will focus on the tools, innovative methods and collaborations that will move the natural history collections community forward.

Our venue will be the Omni Hotel located in downtown New Haven within steps of the city green and Yale’s historic old campus. Setup will begin on Tuesday, June 12 with take-down on Thursday, June 14.

Why This Meeting?

SPNHC is an international society whose mission is improving preservation, conservation and management of natural history collections to ensure their continuing value to society. The 2012 SPNHC Conference is a nonprofit, collaborative initiative that will bring together 250-300 participants throughout North America and abroad. The theme of the 2012 meeting is Emerging Technology and Innovation and our annual meeting is an opportunity to showcase your products and developments to a select group of professionals with a keen eye for excellence. We hope you will join us in New Haven and on the campus of Yale University next summer.
